Processing Priority for Decision Ready Visa Applications
In order to speed up the processing of visa applications, GSM Brisbane (GSMB) has a system whereby we as your lawyers can sign a declaration that we are lodging a
complete application (ie, each and every required document has been lodged). GSMB will then process the application.
This scheme will be used ONLY if the file is absolutely COMPLETE. If any documentation is outstanding this scheme is not applicable.
Important:
1. This is an MIA initiative and can only be used by registered migration agents.
2. Occupation is now relevant with s499 Direction
3. NOTE FROM DIAC: If Agents do not comply with the above protocols DIAC will take actions to ensure co-operation with their guidelines, in the interests of providing better service to all our Agents.
Checklists are now available for:
Subclass 485
Subclass 487
Subclass 885
Subclass 886
Subclass 887

NOTE FROM DIAC:
If an applicant meets one of the above criteria it is likely, not guaranteed, that we will be able to finalise their application this program year, ie. before 30 June 2010. In relation to the 485 applicants, once we clear the above 4 priority groups we will move further down but I am not in a position to commit to that at present. I apologise that I can't provide any stronger wording than this, we are doing the best we can within the constraints of the new Directions.
