Hi Everyone,
I have recently enquired with DIAC regarding adding a secondary applicant to my existing GSM 885 application and received the following reply, thought I share this with everyone who might have the same question.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Dear Client,
Thank you for your email in relation to your visa application under Australia's General Skilled Migration program.
If you have applied for one of the 'onshore' General Skilled Migration visas (that is, a visa which can be granted only while you are in Australia) then you may only add new born children to your visa application.
If you or your partner becomes pregnant or has a child after lodging your application then you need to notify the department of your change in circumstances by completing Form 1022 Notification of changes in circumstances and submit it to this office. This form is available from the department's website at
<http://www.immi.gov.au/allforms/pdf/1022.pdf>
***If you marry after lodging an application for an 'onshore' General Skilled Migration visa, it is not possible to include your partner in this application even if the application has not been finalised.
If you are granted a permanent visa then you may be able to sponsor your partner through the Partner Migration program.
More information on partner migration is available on the department's website at:
<http://www.immi.gov.au/migrants/family/family-visas-partner.htm>
CHANGE OF CIRCUMSTANCES
To inform the department of your change in circumstances you will need to complete Form 1022 Notification of changes in circumstances and submit it to this office. This form is available from the department's website at
<http://www.immi.gov.au/allforms/pdf/1022.pdf>
Alternatively, you can obtain the form from your nearest Australian Embassy or immigration office. Contact details for the department's offices are available at <http://www.immi.gov.au/contacts/index.htm>
Your case officer will contact you during the processing of your application if any further information is required.
Yours sincerely,
Jocelyn C.
