eVisa changes from 1July 2006

eVisa – All Services
The general eVisa information and the frequently asked questions web pages which appear immediately before the eVisa application forms are being removed.
The information they contain has been re-written and incorporated into the new DIMA website which will also be put into production on 1 July 2006.

eVisa – Working Holiday Makers
The website information and eVisa help texts are being updated to reflect the expanded occupations allowable as seasonal work for the purposes of eligibility for a second Working Holiday Maker visa.
Processing systems are being changed to reflect the new work and study conditions which will apply to Working Holiday Maker visas from 1 July 2006
Records for all Working Holiday Maker visa holders as at 1 July 2006 are being updated to reflect the extension to condition 8108 which has been granted by the Secretary.

eVisa – General Skilled Migration
The eVisa form and processing systems are being updated to reflect the expanded list of eligible relationships between a sponsored skilled migrant and their sponsor – the list will include uncle, aunt and cousin from 1 July 2006.
The eVisa business rules are being updated to allow eligible bridging visa holders to apply for General Skilled Migration online.

eVisa – Temporary Business Long Stay (457)
The eVisa service for Temporary Business entrants (subclass 457) is being updated to clarify the instructions and simplify the form that needs to be filled out by the parents or guardians of a visa applicant that is under 18 years of age.

eVisa – Students and Visitors
The background coding of the eVisa services for offshore students and offshore visitors is being re-developed and enhanced. This will deliver clearer error messages to users and will remove some extraneous fields.
The offline versions of these eVisa services will also be streamlined to make downloading and setup of the service by offshore agents easier.

eHealth
The eHealth2 online health processing system is being updated to provide greater functionality to both DIMA and external users and to better align the clients health record with their visa application status.
The update also includes functionality to make eHealth2 continue to be available to external users when the back-end DIMA processing systems are offline.
