悉尼找工：四大会计之PWC新鲜一面+MQ Bank



从前就在想自己应该把找工作的一些体会记录下来，既对自己负责，又可以为其他找工作的同学们提供一点信息，分享一点经验。无奈本人常常做到电脑面前就开始惰性发作，心想着写写写却每次总是折磨自己到深夜却没有写一个关于工作的事。

上次的MQ Bank 一面过后便在easter friday之前收到据信确认被刷了，depress了几天后而今总算已经完全看淡。不断回顾自己的答案，自己都明白自己答得有多crap,况且纵观申请的所有5加firm,Macquarie Bank其实是要求最高，审核最严格的。fail了也没什么好叹气的。可能让我觉得困扰的是因为觉得自己根本就没有put effort,所以失败之余还隔着一层较深的内疚。

两次面试，其实问的东西都很similar.更让我百思不得其解的是，

I'm glad to hear that you have so many interview opportunites (PWC, KPMG & MQ ?) !

Based on my experience, I 'm pretty sure that they want is a simple and clear answer .. they might think bullsxxxxxg is not good ( I reckon) as you know they their time is valuable.. espeically our english is not as fluent as locals and ABCs.. so keep it simple would be the best .

Yes, I've was askd what was my professional goal as well . Thankfully I am quite a goal seeking person n had thought of what i really wanna do in the forseeable future. It may be better if you can keep your professional goal reachable and firmed within 3 yrs and vague after 3 yrs .. because no one knows what will happen 3 yrs later and if your goal has limited flexibility .. interviewers may think the candidate is day dreaming ..

For MQ interviews, I had been asked to do some calculations without any calculator or pen & paper .. i rmb i really had no idea how to work out 99x99 (yea .. i know im stupid) without a calculator ! .. so for candidates who will have MQ interview, be prepared they'll test your simple maths !

Lastly, I think integrity is a very important factor. Because such a big firm is not hard to employ smart people but hard to employ people who are well educated and smart AND with high integrity. Try to present this side and hopefully it may help ~
